Job Title: VP global head of corporate sustainability
James has been driving the corporate sustainability agenda at Capgemini since 2008 – initially for Capgemini UK and since January 2011 globally. Bringing together the local sustainability leaders from across the Group, James broadened Capgemini’s traditional community focus into a wide ranging programme covering environmental sustainability, community engagement and diversity & inclusion.
During his 18-year career at Capgemini, James has held a number of roles, primarily in business development and programme management. He has also led the roll out of a UK leadership development a He continues this interest in his current role by rotating a wide range of employees from across the business through the sustainability programme.
James brings an academic flavour to his work, holding a degree in Economics and Mathematics, a Master’s degree in Development Economics, and an M.B.A. He is just completed his doctorate with Henley Business School investigating the drivers and outcomes of corporate sustainability. Increasingly James is being asked to present at both academic and industry conferences and comment in the media. He is the founding contributor to Capgemini’s sustainability blog
