Job Title: Director of sustainability
Stuart Poore is Director of sustainability at Canon, covering Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He leads a team of sustainability experts that manage all aspects of the company’s social and environmental impact. Prior to Canon, he was Director of corporate stewardship at WWF, leading the organization’s engagement with UK companies across a broad range of stewardship priorities with a focus on business investments and supply chains in China, India, East Africa and Brazil & Amazon.
Stuart has extensive experience of working within businesses to lead social and environmental change programmes. He spent 4 years in the media and telecommunications sector as Director of corporate responsibility at Virgin Media and previously led Corporate Responsibility at the QinetiQ Group, a global defence, aerospace and security company. Stuart has a PhD in International Politics and is a former Chairman of the Global Association of Corporate Sustainability Officers.
