Caroline has 32 years’ experience in retail and supply chain and has been working for Debenhams for 9 years. Her career started in quality and production, but as the world of CSR and compliance began, approx. 1992, her role evolved into this arena. Her remit is extensive covering ESG, Co2 and CRC reporting, the environment, chemical assessment and legal directives for the business, including but not limited to Reach, ETUR, waste, WEEE, works closely with Internal Audit and Legal on policy and training and wrote Debenhams first Modern Slavery statement in 2016. Caroline has travelled extensively over the years, in particular to China, India and Bangladesh designed capacity building programmes and is currently focussed on human rights and a new initiative called Fast Froward, collaborating across industry.
