John is head of sustainability at Pret A Manger and is responsible for the strategy and implementation of the sustainable business plan across all markets Pret operates in. A geography graduate from the University of Wales, John completed a post graduate certificate in sustainable business at the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership in 2015. Now an ambassador for CISL, his role is to connect and leverage the impact of the alumni based in the UK. His previous roles were in operations and new business model development in several retail businesses along with Pret. He is particularly motivated to re-connect people with the food and drinks they consume and the farming systems they come from.
