David has over 30 years experience in the construction industry with 20 of those years being at Heathrow, firstly as a consultant and since 2000 direct with Heathrow. David’s role covers procurement of all works and services relating to Heathrow’s infrastructure assets including runways, taxiways, car parks, roads, utilities, control authorities and all construction related consultancy services. David has more recently been working on the contracting and commercial strategy for the third runway. Before that, David led the HAL commercial team on the £2.5bn Terminal 2 Project and also led the project management team responsible for all the business critical systems within the main terminal building. David has also been HAL’s Ombudsman and between 2002 and 2008 led the HAL supply chain team on the £4.3bn Terminal 5 Project responsible for the commercial relationship with all the 1st tier suppliers. David is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a member of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors and a member of the Association for Project Management. David also sits on the Constructing Excellence Members Steering Group as a client representative.
